One of our teams has recently completed a small project at a commercial dwelling on behalf of a new client.
Tasked with asbestos removal including AIB heat pads to ceilings, boxing/ bulkheads and upstands to columns our 8-day mission spanned across 3no enclosures.
Yet, during phase 2 NNLW scope of removing floor tiles/bitumen adhesive, we uncovered something of concern
A 2021 refurb/ window replacement had resulted in damaging/ removing asbestos boarding and consequently being hidden/ stored within the floor void.
Our management were aware of this straight away, site team made safe and client and correct channels were taken with the local authorities.
2 weeks later we have now been instructed to execute the decontamination of floor void which has been booked in for a return visit this month.
Well done to our team on site, always on the lookout for potential hazards, ensuring our duty of care at all times keeping people safe.
