Introduction: WestCross Environmental Services successfully acted as the Principal Contractor (PC) for asbestos removal at a redundant high street store, preparing the site for kitchen refurbishment. This project highlights our expertise in managing complex asbestos removal under stringent conditions.
Challenge: The primary challenge was to ensure public safety and protect the client’s brand during the asbestos abatement process, all while adhering to tight deadlines and minimising disruption to ongoing retail operations.
Solution: Our team undertook careful planning and execution, prioritizing safety and efficiency. The project was a licensed ASB5 undertaking, involving the removal of asbestos insulating board (AIB) ceiling tiles throughout the back-of-house area.
Execution: The asbestos removal was completed on schedule by our skilled team, led by Billy Ive and Steve Hall.
