In response to a devastating fire at a large property, we were contracted to act as the Principal Contractor for safe demolition & intricate process of asbestos remediation over a challenging three-month period.
The project unfolded in several crucial stages:
- Implementing controlled demolition works due to fire damage and asbestos contamination
- Conducting thorough structural engineer assessments
- Establishing temporary works, inclusive of strategic propping for safe access into building
- Executing removal of licensed & non-licensed asbestos under fully controlled conditions
- Overseeing the demolition of the remaining structure post-asbestos works
Despite the intricate nature of the works, our team delivered exceptional results across the board, earning top marks from external audits commissioned by the client. Adhering to the agreed programme and budget, we upheld the first-class standard that WestCross is renowned for.
