Supporting a school in Hendon, Greater London with the management of their asbestos
Last year, the new premises manager at Hendon School reached out for expertise in deciphering a comprehensive 300-page asbestos survey.
Our Approach:
Our initial site visit, where we helped them understand the survey and its recommendations.
Our Goal:
To put together an action plan for remediation of ACM’s as identified in the survey to comply with management regulations.
Action Taken:
The project involved encapsulation of various Asbestos Insulating Board (AIB) door headers and column casings and ceiling panels under suitably controlled conditions.
Throughout these works we were assisted full time with analytical monitoring including Backgrounds, Personals and Reassurance testing. Assisted by Paul Shaw and his team at Environtec
Team Effort:
This project was competed throughout the half term break, completed on time as planned to ensure no disruption to occupancy.
